The Real
Science Behind Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming is
Conscious Dreaming and is the ability of awareness that you are
dreaming. In a nutshell, you are aware that all the occurrences
you are experiencing are actually within a dream, while you are
dreaming. While lucid dreaming you have a certain amount of
control, unlike when you are experiencing normal dreaming.
The power of having mastery over shaping the events of your own
dreams is part of the very definition of the metaphysical. All
of the normal dream-time rules, like 'timelessness',
'teleportation', and so on still apply: so, step into an
existence where your usual limitations have suddenly vanished
without a trace.
Can it be so simple? Can you lucid dream and then make those
things that in the waking hours seem impossibly difficult come
to life in reality.
In fact, lucid dreaming is not too difficult of an endeavor at
all. You just need the drive and desire to learn this powerful
method for bringing forth your innermost wishes. And, there are
tried and true ways of mastering this power.
Not only that, you have to have very defined objectives about
exactly what you want to accomplish with your lucid dreaming. Is
this about recreation? Is it about solving a problem whose
answer eludes you in your waking life? Is this about enhancing
your creativity? It's up to you, but it's got to be clear. Your
objective itself must be lucid!
Once you have this, you can begin actually learning lucid
dreaming. It begins with Dream Recall, or remembering a dream
you had the night before. Only when you're able to do this can
you progress into learning actual lucid dreaming.
The process will be slow. However, you can achieve it by keeping
a Dream Recall Register. Here you will list daily all the
details you can recall about your dreams. Eventually, you do
realize you can remember the most vivid of dream details. You
can train your mind to be aware while you are dreaming by doing
periodic reality checks.
You might suddenly wake up when you're right in the middle of a
lucid dream. But this will not matter; you’ll be able with ease
to remember all of the important details of that dream. Now,
simply relax yourself and go back to sleep, while continuing the
dream in the direction that you want to go. Upon waking it will
be clear to you that you've got the authentic power of conscious
dreaming or lucid dreaming.
Going back to sleep for a couple of hours after waking in the
morning can induce some excellent lucid dreams, especially if
you are new to the experience. These dreams are 'just next door'
to lucid dreams because you end up wondering if they were
actually dreams or if it was that your thoughts manifested as an
anticipated event.
Another productive means for having lucid dreams is to go back
to sleep for a few hours after you arise in the morning. These
dreams will leave you wondering if they were really dreams or if
you have self-styled your thoughts to manifest in form. These
are the dreams that are closest to lucid dreaming.
If you set your alarm clock, say, to go off at at 4AM when you
aren't getting up until 6AM, you can then wake up, turn off the
alarm, go back to sleep for a couple of hours and have a strong
lucid dreaming experience. Along these lines, knowing your own
sleeping patterns enables you to figure out the very best times
for you to do lucid dreaming.
It's always been hard, however, to actually take the time to
prepare the mind for lucid dreaming. But recent advances in
sonic technology have made it all more egalitarian.
The art of lucid dreaming was very time consuming to learn.
However, the recent advances in sound technologies have made it
much easier for anyone to experience lucid dreaming.
Binaural audios play slightly different frequencies in each ear
in stereo. This results in a deeply relaxed state and a
receptive brainwave configuration for the listener, who now can
experience lucid dreams (assuming his mind was already prepared
as described above).
These perform by playing different frequencies to some extent in
each ear. This results in relaxing the listener deeply and
shifting their brain waves to the frequency that is just right
for the occurrence of lucid dreaming.
Before this time the only way for you to learn how to lucid
dream was to make use of meditation techniques that took several
years to master with firmness and strength of mind power.
However, many individuals felt it to be too difficult to
continue, before this new technology became available.
If you combine listening to binaural sound waves, hypnosis and
affirmations to prepare the subconscious mind, lucid dreaming
can happen very soon after your first attempt.
