To really understand how we all got here, what it really means to be "born again" and why there is so much death and destruction in the world we live in - you have to go back to the very beginning to the story of Adam and Eve as told to us in the Bible.
To truly understand our roots and beginnings as Christians, we have to fully understand what occurred in this story.

Adam and Eve lost "something" that day when they committed their first sin against God by eating off the tree of the knowledge and good and evil. After Jesus comes to our earth to die for all of our sins - we then get back that "something" that Adam and Eve lost that day - hence the word born "again."
