Wimbledon is synonymous to strawberries. Every year, 24 tons of Kent strawberries are ordered for the Championships at Wimbledon. In other words, more than 21, 000 kilograms of the highest quality strawberries from LEAF- registered farms are picked the day before and arrive at Wimbledon at 5.30am prior for inspection. A minimum of 10 strawberries cost about 1.60 to 2.00 pounds.
