Health, Tai Chi, and Constipation Problems |
|
|
It is known that Tai Chi has some medical benefits, and many experts and Tai
Chi practitioners tend to agree. True, there had been no formal research or
study regarding the matter but there had been countless of stories and
claims that Tai Chi really did something to their lives. And one can never
dispute and disregard all these claims (some by distinguished individuals)
and stories as hypes without checking first hand if the claims are real or
voodoo fitting in a Frankenstein movie.
Most Chinese Tai Chi masters, though old, have really remarkable health.
Maybe the careful Spartan lifestyles that abhor body damaging activities and
a selective diet attributed much to their health. Or maybe is really Tai
Chi.
As you can see, Tai Chi is a martial art that has emphasizes much on the
user’s fitness. Chang San Feng, the Tai Chi founder is also a Taoist monk
who followed a discipline that advocated pure health and fitness. So, when
he made Tai Chi, he also intended the art to maintain the youthful energy of
anyone who uses it. Tai Chi is still an exercise, so it does have health
benefits. Among them are improved blood circulation, flexibility and
strength of joints and muscles, stamina and limb coordination.
People have been using Tai Chi as a remedy to most ailments. They use it to
relieve headache and fight stress, and because Tai Chi is meditation, the
relaxing and soothing effects can clear minds and sooth nerves. Elderly
practice Tai Chi to gain flexibility and because Tai Chi is a soft art,
seniors find it the safest exercise regimen. Most Tai Chi practitioners are
seniors.
Tai Chi and Constipation, how does it help?
Constipation is a rather common disorder. Characterized by hardening of the
feces, the obvious effect would be difficulty in eliminating waste. The
feeling of full, tight belly is also present. In most cases, constipation
causes flatulence which can be very embarrassing, unless you always manage
to do those invisible farts (no smell, no sound).
Constipation has a number of simple causes attributed to it. Not enough
fiber, lack of liquid consumption, and ignoring an urge to have a bowel
movement all these can cause constipation. But how would a normal Tai Chi
and constipation relief work?
Lack of physical activity can cause constipation although doctors don’t know
precisely why. Evidences point that after some time of idleness, the
frequency of constipation in an individual occurs. Hospital patients often
suffer constipation. But there had been reports on Tai Chi and constipation.
There had been a number of claims that Tai Chi prevents constipation one way
or another. We all know Tai Chi allows proper blood circulation and this may
be the effective counter for constipation. You might not know, but the
mystery of Tai Chi and constipation may be around the next corner. |
