Great Gifts For Cat Lovers

There are a lot of great gifts that you can give cat lovers.  Photo frames are among the most popular.  Photo frames are affordable and it gives the cat owner a chance to show off their pet.  Put a photo of their cat in the frame before giving it to them, and you have created memories of their pet forever.

Before giving a cat lover a gift, take into consideration what type of cat the person owns.  There are many types of cats including the tabby, calicos, Persians, and of course the infamous Siamese.  Someone may own several cats as well.

Does the cat lover have outdoor or indoor pets?  Cats are happy to spend lots of their time outdoors.  Outdoor cats can be a lot of fun, both to watch and play with.

Cats who reside indoors are less exposed to sicknesses and common health problems that their outdoor counterparts.  Indoor cats usually use a litter box.  Nearly all gifts that you can get for a cat lover are designed for indoor use, but even outdoor loving cats will come inside from time to time.

If you’re looking for a fun gift, give the cat owner some catnip.  Catnip is a popular treat for cats.  It is a naturally occurring plant that has a unique affect on cats.

Catnip gives off aromatic oils that will often make cats appear to be inebriated – which is always great entertainment for both owners and guests.  Catnip is completely safe for cats to consume, and is often included in items such as toy mice and scratching pads.

Other great gifts for cat lovers include decorative mats with cat pictures which can be personalized for the owner.  You can also give cat videos, cat shaped mail boxes, various toys and treats, magazines or other goodies.  Cats are very popular pets, so you should have no trouble finding the perfect gift for the cat lover in your life.
